On a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, PSV F1 played a practice match against Haarlem E3.
Because of the autumn vacations in the North, the Haarlem boys were of course well rested, while our boys already had half a working day (at school) behind them. Add to this the fact that the guests were on average one head taller, and you know it was going to be a hot afternoon. At PSV, newcomer Dani made his official debut.
From the start, PSV came under great pressure and it was Haarlem who managed to dictate the game. Finally a game where our goalies Merijn (1st half) and Kyan (2nd half) could show their class. And they did so with verve. But the compliments must go to the whole team. They fought like lions and after the difficult start they slowly got better and better under the pressure of Haarlem.
The halftime and final score of this very nice encounter was 1-1 (goal Joop). Where it could just as well have been 3-6, 4-3 or 5-5.
Coach Bastiaan must have enjoyed so much work ethic and technical skill. In any case, our boys did credit to the club song: "we go to war".
