PSV and Feyenoord have played each other twice in the Dutch Supercup. The first Supercup final to be competed was in 1991, when Cup winners Feyenoord claimed a 1-0 win, but reigning champions PSV recorded a 1-0 victory over Feyenoord in 1992. PSV have won Johan Cruijff Shield seven times, the last coming in 2003. They were beaten by Ajax during the season’s traditional curtain raiser the past three seasons. Huub Stevens and Gertjan Verbeek will take charge of their first official game at PSV and Feyenoord, respectively.
