Five first-team appearances
Cássio Ramos joined PSV from the Brazilian club Gremio in the 2007/08 season. After having featured for the PSV reserves for one season, head coach Huub Stevens handed him his senior debut in the Cup tie against Young PSV. He made his first-team league debut in PSV´s 1-1 draw with Roda JC four months later, on 18 January 2009. Cássio Ramos spent the second part of the season on loan with Sparta Rotterdam, where he made fourteen appearances before returning to PSV. He did not feature for PSV in the 2009-10 season but made three appearances last season. He came off the bench to replace first-choice keeper Andreas Isaksson in PSV´s away games at NAC Breda and FC Groningen and played the full 90 minutes in the UEFA Europa League match against Metalist Kharkiv.

“I’ve learnt a lot at PSV”

24-year-old Cássio looks back on his four seasons with PSV with a sense of gratitude and hopes to continue to improve as a goalkeeper in Brazil. “I just hope I will learn just as much in Brazil as I’ve learnt here”, he told PSV TV. “I’ve learnt a lot about the game and made huge progress on a professional and personal level.” Ramos did not reveal yet which club he would join but he did not hide his ambitions. “I want to prove in Brazil that I am a good goalkeeper. I have every ambition to become a first-team regular and make appearances.”
