Former PSV player Gordon Nutt has died after a long illness at the age of 81. The Englishman joined PSV at the age of 29 and made 31 league appearances in Eindhoven in the 1961/62 season, scoring five goals in the process. The nimble winger also played over 50 senior games for Arsenal.

Former Arsenal and Coventry City player

Born in South Yardley on 8 November 1932, Gordon Nutt joined PSV at the age of 29. He had spent the previous five seasons with Arsenal, after he had signed his first professional contract with Coventry City at the age of 16. Nutt, efficient with both feet, usually played in a left wing position. He scored ten goals for The Gunners and five for PSV. He also had a brief stint at Cardiff City. After his season at PSV, Nutt retired professionally and emmigrated to Sydney to pursue a career in television production. He moved to Tasmania in 1991 and was head coach of the Tasmanian Soccer Schools for a decade.
