PSV interim head coach Ernest Faber has included Lars Unnerstall in his starting line-up against his former club VVV-Venlo. The German is PSV’s man between the sticks. Steven Bergwijn leads the attack in the absence of the injured Donyell Malen and Sam Lammers.

Ryan Thomas joins a midfield that also includes Pablo Rosario and Mohamed Ihattaren. Defender Nick Viergever serves a one-match suspension. Daniel Schwaab partners Timo Baumgartl in the heart of defence, while Denzel Dumfries and Olivier Boscagli occupy the right and left back spots, respectively. Last season’s corresponding encounter ended in a 1-0 win for PSV thanks to a late strike by Hirving Lozano. Referee Danny Makkelie has been selected to officiate the game. Kick-off is at 12.15.
