PSV have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Fábio Silva. The 20-year-old Portuguese forward joins PSV on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers FC for the rest of the season. PSV have terminated the contract of Ki-Jana, who had joined PSV on loan from the Wolves as well.

First January signing

PSV General Manager Marcel Brands is delighted with the loan deal. “Fabio is a versatile forward who can play in various positions up front. We are pleased he has strengthened our attacking options.” Silva will start training with the senior squad as from today and is PSV’s first January signing.

Crowned champion with FC Porto
Fábio Silva was barely 17 years of age when he made his full FC Porto debut in 2017. He was crowned champion and won the Portuguese Cup in his first season with FC Porto. He spent the first half of the campaign in Belgium with Anderlecht, scoring seven goals in 20 league appearances. The 20-year-old striker was excited when PSV showed an interest in him. “Young talents are given time to develop their skills. I am sure I can learn a lot from Ruud van Nistelrooij, one of the best strikers ever.

PSV  terminate loan deal of Ki-Jana Hoever
Ki-Jana Hoever will no longer be part of the first team. The young defender joined PSV on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers FC at the start of the current season. The 21-year-old will continue training at PSV until his employers have found a solution. The loan deal would run until the summer of 2023, but the contract has now been terminated. Ki-Jana has two assists in five Eredivisie games.
