PSV earned a 4-0 win over PEC Zwolle on Sunday afternoon but goal scorers Pablo Rosario and Donyell Malen did not think the emphatic victory was a fair reflection of the game. Read their post-match reaction.
‘We had two poor spells’
“We had two poor spells, just before after half-time and straight after the break” said PSV captain Pablo Rosario. “We were sloppy in possession and our passing game lacked accuracy. Fortunately we settled into the game and coasted to a 4-0 win. And now we will focus on Thursday’s game at Rosenborg BK.”
Donyell Malen wrapped up the three points, scoring PSV’s second goal of the match. He was asked to account for PSV’s relatively poor display until he doubled the lead. “We failed to create chances due to a crowded midfield, but improved after the break. It was not a walkover but we are happy to have bagged all three points”, said the striker who netted his eighth league game of the season. “To be honest, it was not a wonder strike but every goal matters.”
