André Ramalho thinks that the KNVB’s decision to postpone PSV’s Eredivisie fixture at home to FC Volendam may be to his side’s advantage. The Brazilian defender accompanied head coach Ruud van Nistelrooij at the pre-match conference on Tuesday afternoon and added that fitness could very well play an important role, especially when the match gets into extra time.
“I appreciate the KNVB have postponed the FC Volendam game. Much is at stake when we take on Rangers and every little bit helps to get a good result. The support of the home fans, the preparation for the game, fitness, they will all play their part, in particular when extra time is required.”
High-intensity Rangers FC
“Rangers stick to a high-intensity style of play. We will face a physically strong team that fights for every inch. We responded well last week and I think a 2-2 draw was a fair reflection of the thrilling game.”
