PSV U21 and NAC Breda play out a goalless draw

PSV U21, fifteenth in the table, and NAC Breda, twelfth in the table, both earned five points from their last five encounters. So the two teams looked equal to each other and it was no surprise they played out a goalless draw at PSV Campus De Herdgang on Monday night.

NAC pinned back
Danté Sealy, who was absent in PSV U21’s last outing at FC Emmen, made his presence felt straight after the kick-off with a shot on target and one  minute later he played a long ball into the path of Yunus Bahadir. The full right back cut into the box but NAC Breda’s keeper made a save to deny him. NAC Breda bared their teeth and created three chances which they did not convert. The visitors then were pinned back into their own half but no goals were scored in the first period.

Open game
PSV U21 had a great opportunity to open the scoring three minutes after the restart when NAC Breda’s keeper shot stopper pushed a ball away straight at Dante Sealy. The American striker did not hesitate and looked to smash home but saw his effort cleared off the line by a defender. The second half was an open affair with both teams looking for space behind the defence. But the final pass lacked precision and chances went astray as PSV U21 were held to a goalless stalemate at PSV Campus De Herdgang.

PSV U21 line-up: Delanghe, Markelo, Seelt, Vos, (64/Comenencia) Bahadir; (46/Nassoh) Matuta, Kjølø, Tielemans; (27/Antonisse) Bakayoko, Saibari, Sealy.
