Bruma has been called to the Portugal squad for the upcoming Group B qualifiers with Luxembourg and Ukraine. Ritsu Doan may feature for Japan when they take on Mongolia and Tajikistan in Group F of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Michal Sadílek has received a call-up to the Czech Republic Under 21 side to face their England and Northern Ireland counterparts in international friendlies. PSV U21 USA players Richard Ledezma and Chris Gloster will represent their country in the international friendly against El Salvador.

Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has called up a PSV trio, Steven Bergwijn, Denzel Dumfries and Donyell Malen, to his squad for the Euro Group C qualifiers against Nothern Ireland and Belarus. Cody Gakpo will report for duty with the Netherlands U21 squad to play Euro qualifying games against Portugal and Norway.
