PSV play out goalless draw against FC Sion

PSV have played out a 0-0 draw in their first pre-season friendly against FC Sion on Wednesday evening.

Underside of the bar 
Mark van Bommel’s side controlled proceedings for large parts in the first half. Donyell Malen spearheaded the attack produced some goal threat and fellow striker Cody Gakpo hit the underside of the bar. Goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet, who wore the captain’s armband, saw FC Sion gradually claw their way into the match but the Swiss could not find the back of the net.

Second-half changes
As PSV had undergone a couple of intensive training sessions, there was a plethora of changes after the break, with the full eleven from the first-half being replaced. Robbin Ruiter made his debut for PSV between the sticks. Mohamed Ihattaren had his moments but a  young PSV side created hardly any chances. FT: 0-0.
