PSV hold training camp in Germany

PSV are heading to Germany for a pre-season training camp. The first-team squad will stay in Marienfeld (Harsewinkel) from 3 to 9 August to prepare for the new Eredivisie season. Roger Schmidt’s team will play two friendlies, against SC Verl and KFC Uerdingen 05.

PSV play 3. Liga side SC Verl on Saturday, August 8, in the Sportclub Arena, with a 4pm kick-off. PSV head coach Roger Schmidt made 207 appearances for SC Verl between 1995 and 2002. PSV will face KFC Uerdingen 05, who also play their matches in the third tier of German football, on Sunday, August 9, at ‘Klosterpforte’, with a 4pm kick-off.

Training sessions and matches behind closed doors
The organising committee has urged PSV to hold all training sessions behind closed doors and the two friendlies will also be played without an audience, due to the coronavirus pandemic, so PSV ask their supporters for their cooperation not to travel to Marienfeld. PSV will broadcast the two pre-season friendlies in Germany. Further information will follow.

PSV v UNA
PSV will begin their pre-season campaign on Friday, July 31, when they take on Third Division side v.v. UNA at PSV Campus De Herdgang at 7 pm.
