Press conference | 'Bella-Kotchap shows football inteligence; Ramalho gets praised'

PSV made it four wins out of four with a 4-0 victory against N.E.C in the Philips Stadion on Saturday night. Head coach Peter Bosz was really pleased with the way his side played and singled out the two centre backs for praise.

Peter Bosz praised debutant Armel Bella-Kotchap for a fine display: “He has a high percentage of duels won and keeps his football simple. He is a smart player. He reads the game and is always in the right place. He played a near-perfect match. We hope that Noa Lang’s injury is not that serious.”

Armel Bella-Kotchap on his turn was delighted with the reception of the home crowd. “The atmosphere was tremendous and the fans made me feel at home and helped usd to win the game”, said the left centre back at the post-match conference. He added that he can also operate as right centre back. Head coach Peter Bosz singled out the Brazilian defender André Ramalho for praise. “I think he was our best player tonight. He really did a great job!”

Penalty

Bosz thought  vice-captain André Ramalho had acted rightly when three players were keen to take a penalty. "André did the right thing when he said that Ricardo Pepi was the first choice. Our strikers are our penalty takers, so it was the correct decision.”
