Post-match conference | 'Sergiño Dest has extraordinary qualities'

PSV extended their winning streak in the Dutch Eredivisie to twelve with a comfortable 4-0 win over PEC Zwolle on Sunday afternoon. Head coach Peter Bosz was pleased with his side’s second-half performance and paid tribute to Sergiño Dest, who put in a Man of the Match display.

In spite of the emphatic victory, Bosz admitted that there were enough points of improvements and he told the players during the half-time team talk that they should play at a higher tempo. “We played at a high intensity after the break and cruised to our twelfth victory in a row”, Bosz told the media after the game. “We have won twelve consecutive wins, which is a fine achievement. We have done a good job and feel confident going into the international break.”

Bosz was satisfied with the performance of left back Sergiño Dest, who was named Man of the Match by the supporters. “He is a versatile player who can occupy both the right and the left back spot. We help him improve as a defender. He has extraordinary qualities when he has the ball. Just look at the no-look assist he had for our fourth goal, scored by Malik Tillman."

Intensity
Jerdy Schouten appreciated Peter Bosz’s pep talk. “We were taking things for granted although we know we have to stay focused for the full 90 minutes. We could have created some more chances but a win is what matters at the end of the day”, said the holding midfielder who has been included in the Netherlands squad. “I have returned to Holland in order to enhance my chances of being called up to the Oranje. I am going to do my very best and hope to play my part in PSV’s matches after the international break.”
