Patrick van Aanholt will also spend the 2023/24 season on loan at PSV. The left fullback joined PSV on a six-month loan from Galatasaray on the last day of the January transfer window but will now also be a PSV player next season.
PSV Director of Football Earnest Stewart has expressed his delight at landing the services of Patrick van Aanholt for one more season. “Patrick is a fine wing back, who provides defensive security but also operates up the wing. Moreover he adds experience to the squad, so we are delighted with the extension of the loan deal.”
Found his feet
Since the 32-year-old defender made a move to PSV, he has featured in nine successive games. He played the full 90 minutes in the past two games and has delivered his first assist. “It feels like I’ve been here all season. I really have found my feet here and I am happy to wear the red-and-white striped shirt next season as well”, said Patrick van Aanholt, who has made as many as 435 appearances as a professional football player so far.
