Maxi Romero spearheads the attack against FC Groningen

PSV return to action this afternoon when Roger Schmidt takes his side to the north of the Netherlands to tackle FC Groningen in game number 19 of the Eredivisie campaign.

Starting line-up
Drommel starts in goal, with Teze, Boscagli, Obispo and Mauro JR making up the back four. Van Ginkel, Gutiérrez and Götze form a midfield three, with Doan and Gakpo out wide, and Maxi Romero up top. The Argentinian striker is handed his first start of the season.

Young debutants
A number of debutants have been included in the match squad. Latest signing Joey Veerman is on the bench, alongside Jenson Seelt and Fodé Fofana. Fofana has made his official PSV debut in the Champions League qualification match against FC Midtjylland.

PSV recorded a 5-2 victory in this season’s reverse encounter in Eindhoven. Cody Gakpo played a major part, with one goal and two assists. Referee Bas Nijhuis has been chosen to take charge of the game. Kick-off is at 14.30.
