Mart van den Heuvel, who will reach the retirement age in two weeks’ time, will step down as team manager of PSV at the end of the season. He will stay at PSV, assuming an advisory role for his successor.
Van den Heuvel will be succeeded by Bas Roorda, a former PSV player and current goalkeeping coach with FC Groningen. He will be part of the coaching staff and take over Van den Heuvel’s tasks on match days. Goalkeeping coach Ruud Hesp and video analyst Wim Rip, whose contracts expire this summer, will not be offered a contract extension. Physiotherapist Falk Louwers and cameraman Jean-Paul Boomgaard will also depart the club. PSV would like to thank them for their efforts and loyalty.
