Marco van Ginkel made his 100th appearance in all competitions for PSV on Sunday 12 December. PSV celebrated the landmark as captain Van Ginkel was presented with a framed picture and a bunch of flowers by team manager Mart van den Heuvel, ahead of Wednesday's Cup tie kick-off against Fortuna Sittard.
Crowned champion twice
Van Ginkel joined PSV on loan for the first time in the beginning of 2016 from Chelsea. He made his official PSV debut three days later. Van Ginkel was sent out on loan to PSV again, both in January 2017 and October 2020. Van Ginkel made a permanent move to PSV on 30 June 2021. He was crowned champion with PSV on two occasions (in the 2015/16 and 2017/18 season) and won the Dutch Super Cup in 2021.
