24-year-old goalkeeper Luuk Koopmans, who joins MVV on a season-long loan, has agreed terms on a new two-year extension keeping him at PSV until the summer of 2020.
‘Show my skills every week’
Luuk Koopmans joined PSV from FC Oss in 2015. He trained with the senior squad and made appearances for PSV U21”the past seasons. Koopmans, who suffered plenty from injury woe, has made 25 starts for the reserves in three seasons. He put in impressive displays in the second half of last season’s campaign and hopes to get regular game time with the First Division side. “I have come back stronger and want to show my skills every week”, said Koopmans, who reported for pre-season training with his new club in Maastricht last Sunday.
“MVV showed interest in me when they heard PSV were willing to send me out on loan. There was a good feeling about this loan spell”, said Koopmans, speaking to PSV TV. “I feel a loan move will help boost my PSV career. The club has offered me a new two-year contract extension It’s the next step in my career to get out and play first team games. It’s my aim to return to PSV as a stringer man. My best has yet to come.”
