De Jong replaces Locadia in Netherlands squad
Locadia has pulled out of the Netherlands squad for the friendlies with Scotland and Romania and Luuk de Jong has been called up as a replacement. De Jong is joined in the squad by his PSV team mates Marco van Ginkel and Jeroen Zoet. The Netherlands will face Scotland in Aberdeen on Thursday, 9 November before they make a trip to Bucharest on Tuesday, 14 November, to meet Romania.
PSV right back Santiago Arias has been called up to the Colombia squad for friendlies against South Korea on Friday and China next week Tuesday. Colombia have already qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Elsewhere, Hirving Lozano, the leading top scorer of the Dutch Eredivisie, looks to win a cap for Mexico after being selected in the squad for their international friendlies against Belgium on Friday,10 November, and Poland, three days later.
Pereiro set to make debut for Uruguay
Uruguay meet Poland in an international friendly on Friday,10 November, before they face Austria next week Tuesday. PSV’s attacking midfielder Gastón Pereiro looks to win his first cap for Óscar Tabárez’s side.
Four PSV players called up to Netherlands U-21 squad
Sam Lammers, Yanick van Osch, Bart Ramselaar and Pablo Rosario have been selected in the Netherlands U-21 squad to take on Andorra in a Euro qualifying game in Doetinchem on Friday night. Steven Bergwijn had also received a call-up but felt forced to withdraw from the squad with a knee injury.
