Lars Unnerstall: 'We owe our fans a win'

PSV goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall accompanied head coach Mark van Bommel at the press conference ahead of Thursday’s game at home to Rosenborg. Unnerstall became PSV’s first-choice goalkeeper at the beginning of November when PSV faced Willem II in Tilburg. “I think I have done all right so far”, he said, when asked what it felt like to be PSV’s man between the sticks. “But I will have to do it again and again so that I keep my place in goal.”

Unnerstall insists that all the players are eagerly looking forward to claiming a win in their final Group D game. “We owe that to the fans, although we have little more than pride and honour to play for. But a win will be a morale boost ahead of Sunday’s clash against Feyenoord in the Rotterdam Kuip”, said Unnerstall.
