Goalkeeper Kjell Peersman signs new contract

Kjell Peersman has signed a new long-term contract until the summer of 2026. The 18-year-old goalkeeper was promoted to the first-team squad this summer and is looking forward to the challenge. “This contract is a fine reward for all the hard work I’ve put in, but it’s just the beginning. My ultimate goal is to become PSV’s first-choice goalkeeper and win trophies.”

“Hungry to achieve more”
Kjell Peersman joined the PSV Academy in 2014 at the age of ten. The Belgian rose through the ranks of the youth set-up and made his professional debut for PSV U21 seven seasons later. He was called up to the match squad of the senior team for the UEFA Conference League away fixture against Maccabi Tel Aviv. ‘’That was the highlight of my career so far. It was a great experience and I am hungry to achieve more of the same.”

Grateful
Kjell Peersman made a move from the PSV Academy to the first-team squad this summer and is enjoying every single minute. “It is something special to train with the senior squad every day. I am still young and need to learn a lot and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with PSV.” Peersman knows what is expected of him. “I will do my very best in training every day, get minutes under my belt with PSV U21 and stay fit. I am really looking forward to the new season.”
