60-year-old Frank Arnesen will join the board of PSV as from 1 June. The former PSV player and assistant coach has also been working in Eindhoven as a technical director.
PSV have now handed the Dane a seat on the board. Arnesen will fill the void left by the departure of Hans van Breukelen, who was appointed technical director of the KNVB last summer. “I think it’s a great honour to be asked to join the board of PSV. I am looking forward to the challenge and hope to serve the club”, said Arnesen, who lives in Eindhoven.
Chairman of the board Jan Albers is happy with the appointment of Frank Arnesen. “We were looking for someone who knows about football and feels connected to the club. Frank Arnesen fits the PSV profile perfectly. It is not his ambition any longer to be involved on a daily basis with a club. We are delighted to create continuity in our football organisation in this way. Moreover, Frank Arnesen has built up a huge network of contacts.”
Full complement of board members
The board of directors of PSV consists of Jan Albers, Frank Arnesen, Robert van der Wallen, Bert van der Els and Ton van Veen. There is a full complement of board members now that the vacant seat has been filled by Frank Arnesen. The board members of PSV are elected to serve terms of four years.
