Donyell Malen felt it was two points dropped after PSV were held 2-2 by sc Heerenveen in the Philips Stadion on Sunday afternoon. The striker, who did not get his name on the score sheet, was hugely disappointed his team did not win.
Chances to kill the game
“We had chances to kill the game, so we’re really disappointed”, said Malen speaking after the game. He wore the captain’s armband in the second half after Pablo Rosario had been taken off at half-time. PSV were trailing 1-0 but scored two goals in the 58th minute to take the lead. One minute later, though, the visitors were back on level terms and PSV failed to score the winning goal. “It was poor from us”, admitted Malen. “Sc Heerenveen played a compact defence and we had a tough time. We should have won the game to earn three vital points but we didn’t. With three games to go, we must finish the season in second place. That’s all that matters.”
