Cocu previews KNVB beker tie against Heracles

PSV travel to Almelo on Wednesday to face Heracles in a KNVB Beker round of 16 tie. PSV head coach Phillip Cocu looked ahead to the match at a press briefing on Tuesday afternoon. “We want to make amends for the two points we dropped in a 1-1 draw against Roda JC on our last outing. We will come out highly motivated to rectify a few things.”

Cocu: ‘We know what to expect’
PSV make the trip to Almelo for the second time this season. Phillip Cocu's team suffered a 2-1 defeat in an Eredivisie encounter earlier this season. Cocu hopes his side will take the opportunity to claim revenge for that defeat. “We are fully motivated to wipe away the bad memories of defeat in Almelo. We know we will face a tough test. Heracles are hard to beat. We know we will have to put in a very fine display to progress to the next round.”

Remko Pasveer is PSV's man between the posts in Cup ties, so he retains his place against his former club Heracles. The goalkeeper spent six seasons with Heracles. Cocu is considering to make a few more changes. “ Pasveer is our custodian in KNVB Beker matches, but we may make a few more changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Roda JC.” Cocu did not reveal his starting line-up yet, but admitted that Luciano Narsingh and Maxime Lestienne could be called up to the match-squad. “Luciano has returned to full training and could be named in the squad. Maxime is doubtful, though. He has been out for some weeks and Wednesday's match may come too early for him.”
