Two stunning goals from Ibrahim and Bruma were enough to help PSV to a convincing victory against Vitesse. The Portuguese winger was all smiles when he reflected on his performance after the game.
Top scorer
PSV ’s leading top scorer doubled the lead in a superb way. Carlos Vinícius set him up and Bruma’s finish was impeccable, blasting the ball into the top corner of the net. Bruma remained modest. ”That’s exactly what I needed, but the most important thing is that we’ve won all three points. Scoring like this gives me huge confidence. Scoring a goal is of course fine but at the end of the day a win is all important”, said the Portuguese, speaking to the press after the game. “I practice finishing exercises a lot in training and I know I can do it when it matters.”
A long road
The forward had to take a long road to get back after a turbulent year, but now likes life in Eindhoven a lot again: “I had not really thought it would go like this. The coach and his staff have always supported me and I am glad to be back on the right track. I look forward to taking advantage of a positive momentum and I do what I like most of all: play games in a PSV shirt, score goals and win matches.”
‘Give my best in training’
“We have some important games coming up where we need to make sure we do well. I feel I am ready for the challenge”, continued Bruma. “It will be hard to keep the momentum and keep playing at this level, but I always give my best in training. I hope I will keep up the good work and get game time.”
