Bergwijn returns to the starting line-up against Sparta

PSV entertain Sparta Rotterdam at the Philips Stadion and look to extend their home win streak to eighteen games. PSV head coach Phillip Cocu makes one change to the team that recorded a 1-2 win at Excelsior last weekend, bringing on Steven Bergwijn for Luuk de Jong.

Bergwijn has two goals and three assists to his name this season. The 20-year-old forward last played the full 90 minutes in PSV’s 4-3 victory against FC Twente. A win over Sparta in round fourteen of the 2017-18 campaign would see PSV maintain their lead at the top of the Eredivisie table, with a ten-point lead over Ajax. The Amsterdam outfit play host to PSV in Amsterdam next week Sunday. Referee Siemen Mulder has been selected to take charge of this afternoon’s game that kicks off at 14.30
