Bergwijn, Malen and Hendrix do not make the trip to Austria

A 21-man squad PSV squad flies out to Austria this morning to face LASK Linz in round four of their Europa League Group D campaign on Thursday evening. Steven Bergwijn, Donyell Malen and Jorrit Hendrix do not join their team mates for the trip to Austria.

Viergever and Thomas return to the squad
PSV head coach Mark van Bommel has included Nick Viergever and Ryan Thomas in his 21-man squad. Viergever served a two-match ban in the Dutch Eredivisie, but returns to the squad. Ryan Thomas misses Sunday’s league clash at Willem II through suspension, but is eligible to play for PSV in a European competition. Ibrahim Afellay also boards the plane bound for Austria.

Half way the group stage, PSV need a win in Austria to progress to the round of 32. Later on the day, Van Bommel, accompanied by a player, will look ahead to the game at a conference before overseeing the final training session ahead of tomorrow night’s game. The meeting between PSV and LASK Linz in the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven ended in a 1-1 draw.
