Anniversary | Mauro Júnior made 100th appearance for PSV

Mauro Júnior made his 100th appearance in all competitions for PSV when they faced Sevilla FC in Spain. The Brazilian joined PSV in 2017 and after a spell with PSV U21 and a spell on loan with Heracles Almelo he developed into a first-team regular.

The versatile player will receive a commemorative shirt ahead of this afternoon’s game at home to FC Twente. This afternoon, he will wear a PSV shirt in an official game for the 103rd time. He has scored seven goals for PSV so far and has delivered fourteen assists.  He started his career with PSV in a midfield role but as a utility player he can play in multiple positions. He currently usually features as a fullback.

 Debut
Mauro Júnior impressed at football trials with PSV in the summer of 2013. The midfielder joined Desportivo Brazil and made his first-team debut in Brazil in 2017. He put pen to paper on a contract with PSV in June 2017, when he was just eighteen years of age. Three months later, he made his PSV debut and opened his scoring account within half an hour.
