PSV head coach Mark van Bommel and a 20-man squad, including amongst other players Gastón Pereiro and goalkeeper Mike van de Meulenhof, will fly out of Eindhoven airport this morning ahead of PSV’s UEFA Champions clash with FC Basel on Tuesday evening. Mark van Bommel’s team came from behind to snatch a 3-2 win over FC Basel in the first leg in the Philips Stadion last Tuesday. The winner of the two ties will face LASK Linz in the third qualifying round.
Pereiro was not called up to the match squad for the first leg with the Swiss but the Uruguayan international is back into the squad after his transfer deal failed to materialise. Captain Ibrahim Afellay does not travel with his team mates to Switzerland. The midfielder continues his rehabilitation in Eindhoven. Mark van Bommel will preview Tuesday’s game at press conference at 18. 30 before inspecting the playing surface during a training session.
