The 28-year-old midfielder returned to PSV Women in the summer of 2024 after previous spells at the club from 2015 to 2017, in which she scored 11 goals in 54 matches. The former European champion and 12-time Dutch international comes over from Feyenoord and signed a three-year contract. Known for her overview, running ability and dueling power, Folkertsma brings experience from clubs such as Ajax, FC Twente and Girondins de Bordeaux.
