Niek Schiks started as a field player at PSV Academy in 2012. Despite his footballing qualities, the young Boxmeer native quickly opted for a career as a goalkeeper. This choice took him to the first team in 2024, where he expanded the goalkeeping squad to three. In the meantime, he continues to play his matches for Jong PSV in the Keuken Kampioen Division. The young goalkeeper still has a contract until the summer of 2027.
