Joey Veerman made his debut in 2016 at FC Volendam, the club from his hometown. Three years later, he made the switch to sc Heerenveen, where he further profiled himself as a midfielder with a splitting pass. In the winter of 2022, Joey chose PSV over a number of other candidates.

Meanwhile, he has more than a hundred matches for PSV 1 to his name. In those, he won the national title, the Johan Cruijff Schaal and twice the TOTO KNVB Cup. He also played in the spotlight for the Dutch national team, with which he played at the 2024 European Championship in Germany.
