Armando Mario Obispo, Cody Gakpo and Jordan Teze form a renowned trio who have all progressed from the youth academy to the first team. While his teammates both secured a place in the starting line-up and eventually left for top European leagues, Armando suffered from injuries. In the 2019-2020 season, the centre-back played on loan for Vitesse. The following year, he played more and more minutes for the first selection, but once again his ambitions were thwarted by injuries. In the run-up to the 2024-2025 season, injury struck again. However, Armando has now recovered and is steadily working on his comeback at the club where he grew up. At the end of 2024, he extended his contract until mid-2027.
