Armando Mario Obispo, along with Cody Gakpo and Jordan Teze , form a famous trio that together progressed from youth training to the main squad. While his companions both gained a starting place and eventually left for top European competitions, Armando had to deal with injuries. In the 2019-2020 season, the central defender plays on a rental basis for Vitesse. The following year he makes more and more minutes for the A-selection, but again his ambitions are thwarted by injuries.In the preparation for the 2024-2025 season, injury strikes again. By now, however, Armando has recovered and is working steadily on his comeback at the club of his youth. At the end of 2024, he extended his contract until mid-2027.
