Under wintry conditions, PSV Women won convincingly against PEC Zwolle. After a first half with few chances, it was Chimera Ripa who managed to find the net soon after halftime and put the 1-0 on the board. Not much later, Riola Xhemaili headed PSV to 2-0. Substitute Shanice van de Sanden sealed the match in injury time after the striker scored her first league goal for PSV, making it 3-0.

Few opportunities

Ten Berge's team was immediately dangerous from the first minute and came close to the opening goal after a quick breakaway by Liz Rijsbergen. However, the Zwolle goalkeeper stood her ground and prevented an early deficit. After this opportunity PSV Women remained on top and put the visitors under pressure. Nina Nijstad managed to get far with a nice dribble, but fell just short of creating a threat and the score remained unchanged. As the first half progressed PEC Zwolle got better and better into the match and the game became evenly matched. In the closing stages of the first half, the visitors were dangerous, but the Blue Fingers were unable to score an opening goal.

Goal-rich second half

On a snowy pitch it did not take long for Ten Berge's team to take the lead. After a tailored cross from Liz, it was Chimera who was able to run the ball in, making it 1-0. Just eight minutes later it was Riola who managed to find the net and headed the ball past the Zwolle goalkeeper. With this goal, the Swiss made her tenth premier league goal and PSV made it 2-0. After these goals, PSV maintained their grip on the match and their opponents were no longer able to play football. In extremis PSV even managed to put a third goal on the board after Shanice with a placed shot made it 3-0.
