PSV Women will play their first official match against NAC Breda on Sunday afternoon. At the Rat Verlegh Stadion, both teams will meet in the Eurojackpot Women's Eredivisie. Midfielder Robine Lacroix is looking forward to that game.

Although Sunday will be the first official meeting, both teams already met once in a practice match. On December 10 last year, PSV Women won 5-0 against NAC Breda. The goals then came from Zera Hulswit (2), Emmeke Henschen, Fleur Stoit and Melanie Bross.

Milestone for Melanie Bross
It could be a special afternoon for left back Melanie Bross. The defender is about to play her 100th premier league game for PSV Women. She has played a total of 134 official matches for PSV Women, which puts her in fourth place of players with the most matches ever in the red and white.

Learning from Twente
The defeat against FC Twente provided valuable insights despite the result, midfielder Robine Lacroix says. "We have seen that our fierceness in the duels is one of our strengths. Against NAC we have to show that again and at the same time try to take out the small mistakes," says the 20-year-old. "Mistakes are allowed, but then we have to keep working together as a team to solve them."

In addition, Robine emphasizes the importance of energy and intensity throughout the match. "Against Twente we sagged a bit at the end, and that must not happen to us again. We have to bring the same energy for ninety minutes as we did at the beginning."

Leading on the ball
With those lessons in mind, PSV Women is looking ahead again. Sunday awaits the first official meeting with NAC Breda, a match in which Roeland ten Berge 's team is determined to take all three points to Eindhoven.

According to Robine, the focus there is on their own game. "I think on Sunday we are going to be the team that is on the ball the most," she said. "We want to be leading in attack and hope for a nice game with a lot of goals."

NAC Breda is currently bottom with one point, but concentration remains crucial. "We have to be sharp on the counter. If we play high up the pitch because we want to play a lot of forward football and then lose the ball, we have to make sure that counter is taken out immediately. We want to keep the zero, and that's something we can really demand of ourselves."

With confidence and a clear style of play, PSV Women will travel to Breda on Sunday. Where Roeland ten Berge 's team has the chance to win this first official meeting with NAC Breda.

The game starts at 2:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on the switch channel on ESPN 1.
