A duel between champions of the low countries; PSV starts the preparation with a practice game against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. The game on July 5 is not open to the public, but supporters and other interested parties can watch the match via a livestream.
PSV broadcasts the duel with Union Saint-Gillis itself. It has become a small tradition: the first practice match against a Belgian opponent. Last year it was Club Brugge, and before that Sint-Truiden. Now it is the club from Brussels, which last season became Belgian national champions for the first time since 1933-1934.
With the game against Union Saint-Gillis, the preparation takes even more shape. Earlier, PSV already communicated the dates of the training camp and the practice matches against FC Eindhoven and Athletic Bilbao.
