PSV Women has thoroughly shaken off the disappointment of their Champions League elimination. In an away match against Feyenoord, they handed last season’s third-place team a resounding 6-0 defeat.

Immediately after the opening whistle, it became clear that Kasper Kurland’s team was the dominant side. The chances came thick and fast, and it was only a matter of time. Liz Rijsbergen opened the scoring as early as the thirteenth minute. Not long after, Chimera Ripa scored directly from a corner kick. Speaking to ESPN’s camera later, she admitted she was aiming for the far post, “but you know this can happen,” she laughed.

After that, it briefly seemed as though Kasper Kurland’s team was going to calmly see out the match. But after sixty minutes, they shifted into high gear once again. Substitute Shanice van de Sanden delivered one cross after another. She would leave the field with two assists. Robine Lacroix dominated the midfield and was named Hero of the Match. Substitute Josefine Funch brought boundless energy and scored her first goal for PSV. Chimera and Liz each added a goal, and captain Janice Cayman scored her third goal of the season.
