In uitgelicht we take a look at the outstanding players of the past. In this edition, we dive into the 2015 PSV - FC Utrecht match. From all-time top scorer for the Dutch national team to winning the UEFA Supercup, we take a closer look at the various successes.

In a season in which Philip Cocu won his first national title as coach, PSV played at home against FC Utrecht on Feb. 7, 2015. In this match, PSV was on top from the start, but did not score until after halftime. In the second half, PSV took a 2-0 lead within six minutes, after Luciano Narsignh and Memphis Depay both managed to find the net. In the 70th minute, Rob Alfen's team managed to do something back and Yassine Ayoub made it 2-1. In extra time, Memphis sealed the match after a tight free kick made it 3-1.

Jeroen Zoet - AZ - 35 years
Jeroen was under the crossbar at PSV between 2008-2020. During his time in Eindhoven, the Veendam-born goalkeeper was loaned to RKC Waalwijk and FC Utrecht. In 2020, Jeroen opted for an Italian adventure and signed a contract with Spezia Calcio. After this, Jeroen returned to the Netherlands in 2024 and is currently part of the AZ selection.

Jetro Willems - N.E.C. - 32 years
The 22-time Dutch international can look back on a successful period at PSV in which he became champion twice and won the cup once. After his time at PSV, Jetro played for several foreign clubs including: Eintracht Frankfurt, Newcastle United and CD Castellón. Currently the left back plays for N.E.C.

Karim Rekik - Al-Jazira - 31 years
Karim played only 2 seasons in Eindhoven, appearing in 54 matches for PSV. After PSV, the defender continued his career with Manchester City. Furthermore, Karim played for a number of top European clubs, including Olympique Marseille and Sevilla. Currently, Karim is under contract with Al-Jazira in the United Arab Emirates.

Nicolas Isimat-Mirin - Stopped - 34 years
The French central defender came over from AS Monaco in 2014. In Eindhoven, Nicolas quickly found his feet and it did not take long for him to become a crowd favorite. In 2019, the Frenchman left PSV after becoming three-time national champion here. After periods at Beşiktaş, Toulouse, Kansas City, Vitesse and Kallithea, Nicolas recently put an end to his successful career as a professional footballer.

Santiago Arias - Independiente - 34 years
The Colombian international played 5 years at PSV, in which he became champion 3 times. Santiago played a total of 172 official matches for PSV, making him the Colombian with the most appearances ever for the club. In 2018, the right back traded PSV for Atlético Madrid, where he managed to win the UEFA Super Cup. During his time with the Spanish top club, Santiago was loaned out to Bayer Leverkusen and Granada CF. After periods at FC Cincinnati and Bahia, the winger now plays in Argentina at Independiente.

Andrés Guardado - Stopped - 39 years
Andrés played at PSV from 2014 to 2017. In Eindhoven, the Mexican international was a fixture in midfield. After a period with Real Betis, the Mexican returned to his homeland and ended his football career last year with León.

Adam Maher - Without club - 32 years
The Moroccan-born midfielder transferred from AZ in 2013 and was a PSV player until 2018. After this, the five-time Dutch international played for FC Twente, AZ, FC Utrecht, Damac FC and Al-Wakrah SC. Currently, Adam is transfer free.

Georginio Wijnaldum - Al-Ettifaq -35 years
The 96-time Dutch international played a total of four seasons at PSV. In 2015, the midfielder left for England, where he played for Newcastle United and Liverpool. With Liverpool, he became both English national champion and UEFA Champions League winner. After Liverpool, Georginio played for PSG and AS Roma. Currently, the midfielder is making minutes with Al-Ettifaq, where he managed to score 12 goals already this season.

Memphis Depay - Corinthians - 32 years
Memphis broke through from his own youth training at PSV 1, in the main squad the outfielder made an immediate furor and was often effective. This eventually earned him a transfer to Manchester United. After this, the former Eredivisie top scorer played for several European top clubs, including Olympique Lyon, FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. Now the striker can be admired in Brazil and Memphis plays for Corinthians. In addition, Memphis is still a regular with the Dutch national team and became Orange's all-time top scorer in 2025.

Luuk de Jong - FC Porto - 35 years
Luuk de Jong has become a true club legend of PSV. In eight seasons in Eindhoven he conquered no less than five national titles and once the cup. Last summer he made the switch to FC Porto, where he signed a contract for one season. Currently the striker is sidelined with a serious knee injury, but is working hard on his return.

Luciano Narsingh - Ellas Syros - 35 years
Luciano was a player at PSV from 2012 to 2017. In Eindhoven, the outfielder won two national titles, and one cup. After this, the 19-time Dutch international played for Swansea City, Feyenoord, FC Twente, Sydney FC, Miedz Legnica and Nea Salamis. Last winter, Luciano joined the selection of Greek side Ellas Syros.
