PSV says goodbye to Yiandro Raap. The 19-year-old defender makes the move to the Finnish Ilves Tampere. His contract expired next summer.
Yiandro joined PSV Academy in 2021, where he initially joined the O17. Two years later he made his debut for the pledge team. That year he also played his first game as a youth international of Venezuela. The defensive midfielder, who can also play as a wing and center defender, came to 27 matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
"I look back on my time at PSV with great pleasure," Yiandro says. "I played in the [UEFA] Youth League, made my debut in professional football and trained with PSV 1. It all helped me in my development as a person and as a footballer ánd led to the next step to Finland's number two with European football in prospect. I'm looking forward to that immensely."
Technical Manager Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is proud of Yiandro's trajectory. "He has developed here into a versatile player, youth international and has made his debut in professional football. His contract ran for a few more months, but this is a great outcome for both parties."
PSV wishes Yiandro good luck in Finland and with the continuation of his career.
