Walter Benitez makes a transfer to the English Premier League. The Argentine goalkeeper will join Crystal Palace. His contract at PSV expires on July 1.
Walter Benitez transferred from OGC Nice in the summer of 2022. In three seasons he kept 134 official matches for PSV, in which he kept the zero 43 times. In the Netherlands, he won everything there is to win: the national title twice, the Johan Cruijff Schaal twice and the TOTO KNVB Beker once. He also made his debut in the UEFA Champions League and was included in the goalkeeping corps of the Argentine national team.
"I have experienced three fantastic years. I wish the club and its supporters all the best," said Walter, who now continues his career with last season's FA Cup winner. Crystal Palace becomes, after PSV, OGC Nice and Quilmes, only the fourth club in the 32-year-old goalkeeper's career.
