Jason van Duiven continues his path in the Belgian Challenger Pro League. The PSV-trained striker makes the move to Lommel SK, which is part of the City Group. Jason had been with PSV's main squad since last season.
Jason is a fast, headstrong striker who has played football at PSV since the O14. In the main squad he had to beat Luuk de Jong and Ricardo Pepi. That is why he opted for a rental deal with Almere City early this year. Now the 19-year-old striker is leaving PSV for good and a six-year tenure comes to an end.
Grateful
Jason van Duiven came to PSV Academy in 2018, where he immediately impressed with his nose for goal. In 2022-2023, he played his first season in professional football at Young PSV and with success. He scored 15 goals in 34 matches. The young striker looks back on a great period at PSV: "I have developed at this warm and close-knit club into the person and footballer I am today and I am very grateful to everyone for that. I want to thank all trainers, staff members and supporters for their trust. I will take all my experiences with me to this new challenge. PSV will remain in my heart forever."
Director of Football Affairs Earnest Stewart explains why PSV is saying goodbye to him. "Jason is a great talent and needs minutes played to develop further. Our striker position is strongly occupied. In order not to hinder Jason's development we were willing to cooperate on a transfer." PSV wishes Jason every success with the continuation of his career and thanks him for the good cooperation in recent years.
