After last night's disappointing result, PSV licked its wounds at De Herdgang. Head coach Phillip Cocu is realistic after the draw against FC Twente. "The title is far away. We will see if we can still finish second, but we no longer have that in our own hands." His players will do everything they can Sunday to keep those hopes alive, Cocu expects.
Difficult day
It was a difficult day, Cocu acknowledges. "It was difficult today, but that's logical after yesterday's big deception. Then you don't have your best day. We looked back and evaluated. It was difficult to watch the game again, but you always have to look back at 'em. To learn from your mistakes, but also to look at things that are going well."
Recap
Sunday's game against Willem II is scheduled. "It will be difficult to recover immediately, but I'm sure the players will do everything they can to win on Sunday," he said. That is of great importance if PSV still want to have a chance at the second spot. "Because the Champions League is the level at which we want to act."
Support
Cocu is hoping for the support of the crowd on Sunday. "We will do everything as a team on Sunday to make it a good game and give a good response. That's what every player wants. If the crowd supports us it helps tremendously."
