PSV/FC Eindhoven will get a visit from Belgium's RSC Anderlecht tonight. At 7:30 p.m. kick-off at sports complex De Herdgang is the duel between the numbers eight and five of the BeNe League. It is the concluding match of a busy series in which PSV/FC Eindhoven managed to win three times and lost to FC Twente (4-0) last Tuesday.
Sensitive defeat
The away game in Belgium earlier this season was lost 3-2 in injury time. A sour defeat that head coach Nebojsa Vuckovic and his players would like to rectify. "We lost points unnecessarily at RSC Anderlecht, we are going to prevent that tonight. We are determined to keep three points at home. If we win, we can look back on this period with a good feeling," Vuckovic said.
Full sickbay
PSV/FC Eindhoven is still missing nine injured players. Meanwhile, Ibtissam Bouharat and Melissa Evers have returned to the team, Bouharat can play against her old club. Players of satellite club FC Eindhoven AV have again been added to the matchday squad.
Peeters knee injury
Marlou Peeters is sidelined for the time being with a meniscus injury. During the social trip to Egypt with the CTO Talent Team where Peeters is part of the coaching staff, the player injured her knee. Peeters suffered damage to her meniscus and will soon go under the knife. After that, it will become clear how long Peeters will need to rehabilitate. Against the recovery is the return to the field of Kika van Es. She is currently still recovering from a double leg fracture, but worked out part of the group training during field practice. Also Laura Strik, Michelle Hendriks and Maran van Erp are making progress in their rehabilitation and will slowly rejoin the team in the coming weeks.
