PSV recorded a convincing win in Zwolle on Saturday night: 0-4. Coach Phillip Cocu's team never got into trouble and added three points to its points total on last year's championship ground thanks to goals from Nicolas Isimat, Jorrit Hendrix, Luuk de Jong and Steven Bergwijn. As a result, PSV still remains clear in the Eredivisie.

Isimat and Hendrix give PSV club record
At the Mac3Park Stadium, PSV put an impressive first half on the mat. Phillip Cocu's team was lord and master and expressed that in a 0-2 halftime score. PSV was fierce, dictated and controlled on the artificial turf, where Nicolas Isimat and Jorrit Hendrix found the net on behalf of PSV. The French defender nodded the 0-1 in the 19th minute from a returned free kick, Hendrix in turn found the goal with a delightful streak from distance. Those two goals also marked a club record; PSV scored at least two goals in each of the last ten away games in the Eredivisie.

In the second half, too, the danger in front of PEC Zwolle's goal was much greater than in front of Jeroen Zoet's. PEC did counter somewhat more in the opening stages of the second half than before the break, but the biggest chances remained for PSV. For example, Jürgen Locadia could have put the game away after only an hour, but he misjudged the ball after a beautiful pass from standout Andrés Guardado. Luuk de Jong and Luciano Narsingh also had chances to decide the game early, and as the second half progressed PEC's hopes of making a real game of it disappeared. Hope that was completely gone when De Jong nudged PSV 0-3 five minutes before time. Not long after, substitute Steven Bergwijn curled the 0-4 into the cross. His first goal for PSV.
