After a spell in the Premier League, Davy Pröpper has now returned to PSV and is in top form. The midfielder sat next to Roger Schmidt at the press conference prior to the match against FC Midtjylland.
Prepared
"Saturday went well and I feel great. I am happy to be back and especially happy that I can play again," Pröpper said of his return. After a week of tough matches, he feels it is more important than ever to support his team: "I am fit and if I am needed, I am ready." PSV goes into the match with a margin of three goals, but according to the midfielder, the match is not yet played: "It is a trap to think we have already won. We have seen that they are physically strong. For us it's just 0-0 again."
The new PSV
The PSV the playmaker left behind when he left for Brighton & Hove Albion FC is not the same as the PSV he found upon his return, Pröpper says. "You can see we are working on something new. Going in a new direction with a different idea and we are busy trying to execute that in the best way." In that, last Saturday's game gave the team a boost: "Winning a prize is absolutely great and it gives confidence that we are on the right track. We need to form a new team and winning games gives confidence that we are on the right track.
The match can be seen live on SBS 6 from 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
