PSV reached the semifinals of the Eurojackpot KNVB Beker for the second year in a row. Esmir Bajraktarević had a nice share in the 4-1 victory over sc Heerenveen with two goals. Head coach Peter Bosz sees the young outfielder growing every week.
How happy does a two-time premier league champion become from reaching the semifinals?
"Very happy, especially the way. We didn't start well, but after the first ten minutes we started playing football. From then on we created chances and hardly gave anything away at the back."
What were you most satisfied with?
"That we can pick up this pace again, three days after Feyenoord. That is very difficult, but we can do that. And when we do, we are hard to play for anyone."
What did you think of Bajraktarević? He obviously scored two goals.
"Goals are important, but I look more at how he competes. I see him growing from a youth player to a mature football player. He is participating well and performing his tasks. I thought he played well against Feyenoord as well."
Mauro was very good again today. Leaving all the other players out of consideration, where would you prefer to put him?
"Ideally, I would prefer to have two Mauros! One as a back and one as a six."
Saibari was substituted at halftime, is there anything wrong with that?
"He had had some kicks and was mainly suffering from an ice bone. Then I prefer to take him off. What this means for next weekend, I don't know."
Are you sick of the counter goal?
"Certainly, that has to happen at this level. The goalkeeper as well, and the defenders as well. Everyone wants to keep the zero."
