PSV has appointed Nick Tol as the new press officer of the main squad. The 30-year-old Volendam native is the successor to Sanne Clements and comes over from De Telegraaf, where he was responsible for the content of the newspaper and website as news chief and director. Tol will start at PSV on Monday, September 9.
Tol began his career at the Noordhollands Dagblad newspaper, wrote several books, and for the last nine years worked primarily for De Telegraaf. Besides news chief, he also functioned at that medium for a long time as sports journalist, traveling all over the world for interviews and major events such as the Olympics.
,,When this opportunity at PSV came along, I was immediately enthusiastic," Tol says. ,,Both for work and personal reasons, I have regularly visited PSV Campus De Herdgang and the Philips Stadium, and my feeling at PSV was always good. During the interviews for this position of press officer, that only got stronger. I am highly motivated to make it a successful adventure."
