Mark van Bommel praised his team's play after the 3-0 win against Ajax. "We played to our weapons. Everyone achieved a high level. In ball possession and in work ethic," he told the Philips Stadium catacomb.
Team performance
"Everyone knows from each other what he is going to do," Van Bommel continued. "A few guys stand out, but it's really a team performance. Before halftime we scored three nice goals, in the second half we played on character, with work ethic got the win. That is a form of mental toughness. I saw a team that did everything possible not to get a goal against."
Strength De Jong
One of the guys who stood out was Luuk de Jong, who won virtually every head duel up front. "Luuk distributed the game with his head. He is so important for us.
